The state Ministry of Livestock Development also secured outstanding victories across several competitive categories including 1st Position in Artisanal Fisheries, 1st Position in Fisheries Aquaculture, 2nd Position in Small Ruminants, and 2nd Position in Large Ruminants.
In a statement on Saturday, Aliyu Isa Aliyu said that the remarkable achievements are a direct result of the commitment and strategic investments made by the governor.
He said, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is strengthening both the livestock and crop production sectors.
“Kano State has enormous potential in livestock, much of which remained untapped for many years. Under the present administration, that potential is now being unlocked through deliberate policies, modernisation programmes, and renewed attention to value addition.”

The commissioner added that in the coming months, the ministry will roll out additional initiatives aimed at transforming the livestock sector, boosting productivity, and positioning Kano as a national leader in animal agriculture.
Aliyu added that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is determined is his pursuit to make Kano State a reference point in livestock development and crop production.
He added, “Congratulations to all our dedicated staff who represented Kano at the National Agricultural Show 2025. More wins ahead, Insha Allah.”
