Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a suspected kidnapper and recovered arms as well as N900,000 ransom from him.
The suspect, Lawal Tasiu (26), was arrested by the police at Koka junction Asaba, while acting on credible intelligence that a man was kidnapped at Itego community Ibusa and an undisclosed ransom was paid.
The state Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abanniwonda, said following the report, the police stormed the said junction and arrested the suspect, who is a resident of the FCT, after a hot chase.
He said N900,000 was recovered from him when he was searched.
