Katsina State is set to host the second edition of Arewa Tech Fest, a three-day event scheduled to take place from May 20 to 22, 2025, at the Continental Event Center, Katsina.
The festival, themed “Innovation for Impact – Technology As a Catalyst for Economic Transformation,” aims to bring together tech innovators, startup founders, investors, academics, and policymakers to drive digital transformation in Northern Nigeria.
The event is expected to feature keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, hackathons, startup exhibitions, and networking forums.
According to the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Dr. Muntaqa Rabe Darma, the festival, which is expected to attract at least 10,000 investors and initiators, will accelerate the development of local startups, attract investment into the northern tech ecosystem, and promote regional collaboration on infrastructure, policy, and innovation.
“The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, has been working to build a digitally enabled state, with initiatives such as revitalizing the Directorate of Information and Communications Technology, eliminating Right-of-Way charges, and investing in tech education and digital skills programs,” he said.
The festival is open to entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, government institutions, academia, development partners, media, and the general public and it could be attended both physically and online.
