President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
This is the first known meeting between the two leaders since the governor resumed office following the state of emergency declared in the state.
Fubara arrived the seat of power about 6:30 Pm and was ushered into the President’s office, by some of his aides.
President Tinubu had in a broadcast on March 18, declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, suspending democratic structure for six months.

He had appointed a sole administrator to oversee the affairs of the state.
At the time of filing this report, the meeting was still ongoing.
Among those who met the President earlier in the day were the Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum and governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq; Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Others were the Speaker of House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass and Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, Zacch Adedeji.
