The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) has promised to strengthen collaboration with the Kwara State government in the areas of education, infrastructure, and youth empowerment.
A member of its Board of Trustees (BoT) representing the North Central on TETFUND Board, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, disclosed this during a courtesy to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in Ilọrin.
The visit came shortly after the conclusion of the latest TETFUND board meeting,
Speaking during the engagement, Engr Adeyemi noted the bold strides in infrastructure development and the prioritization of education and human capital development under the present administration.
He particularly hailed the establishment of the Kwara State University of Education, describing it as a landmark achievement that reflects the Governor’s deep commitment to advancing teacher education and lifelong learning opportunities.
“As the North Central representative on the TETFUND Board, it is important to acknowledge and support forward-thinking leadership. This administration’s focus on inclusive education and innovation is commendable and aligns with the objectives of TETFUND in building resilient tertiary education institutions,” Engr. Nurudeen stated.
Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi, who is also the founder of the ENACT Innovation Hub in Ajase-Ipo, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that empower youth with digital literacy, tech skills, and entrepreneurial capacity to thrive in the knowledge economy.
He emphasized that sustainable development begins with equipping the next generation with tools to create, innovate, and lead.
Governor AbdulRazaq in his response appreciated the visit and reaffirmed Kwara State’s readiness to work more closely with TETFUND and other relevant stakeholders to deliver high-impact projects that transform education outcomes across the state.
Both parties emphasize the need for sustained collaboration to achieve long-term goals in education, innovation, and community development across Kwara State and the North Central region.
