Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani (FFK), has asked Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State to do more to tackle the ongoing carnage in the state.
Daily Trust reports that about 100 people have been killed in the state in the last few weeks.
Commenting on the situation, Fani-Kayode said the killings were being sponsored by foreign elements in a bid to destabilise the country ahead of the coming elections.
He said a similar approach was planned during past administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan.
He advised President Bola Tinubu to adopt the approach of the US leader, Donald Trump, by sealing the borders.
He said: “Here we go again, more killings in Nigeria and particular Plateau State all being orchestrated by the usual suspects from outside the country sending people from north Africa and the Sahel region to come and slaughter our people.
“They are slaughtering both Christians and Muslims including northerners and southerners. They are doing this now simply because they want to destabilise Nigeria and discredit the government. This was orchestrated and the same thing happened in 2014 prior to Jonathan’s defeat the next year.
“They are doing this now, preparing ground for 2027. We know who they are, these are foreign elements from the west including Israel and a number of others because they don’t want a stable and peaceful Nigeria or for our people to succeed in their democracy endeavours.
“These are all planned in an attempt to divide us and plunge us into a senseless civil war to be killing our selves as brothers while the real enemy come from outside the country who do not wish us well”, he stated.
The former minister who condemned the rising killings in the country further highlighted the slaughtering and lynching of innocent Hausa’s and Fulanis calling Nigeria to rise up to the challenge.
“We should adopt the approach of President Donald Trump by sealing the borders and stop these people who have no business being here. from coming. Let’s do what Donald Trump is doing by building prisons for them and most importantly eliminate them.
He said said Nigeria will stand tall and strong despite all the challenges by the enemies and assured their collaborators within that their actions will eventually consume them.
“Nigeria is a great country, not barbarians and for those who are within enjoying this claiming the security situation is getting out of hands for political reasons, they forget that they are digging a pit which will eventually consume them.
“God’s will shall be done and Nigerians both Christians and Muslims from the north and south will stand as one”, he said.
